WHY JOIN WEGA
When a player participates in the Women’s Eastern Amateur or Senior Championship, her club supports the Association by remitting dues. Only clubs and schools can be members of WEGA, not individuals.
Dues payments are the only source of revenue for WEGA.
With this support, the Association can provide players with quality, competitive venues and preserve the modest entry fee for each championship.
The Womenʼs Eastern Golf Association is a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Dues payments are tax-deductible.
The Womenʼs Eastern Golf Association is made up of strictly volunteers.
We are mothers, daughters, grandmothers, wives, professionals, educators, and volunteers in our communities.
We lead very active lives that embrace responsibility, commitment and challenge.
The bond that brings us together is the love for the game of golf.
Our compensation is the satisfaction that we derive from giving back to womenʼs amateur golf.
The WEGA Constitution states
“The exclusive object of this Association shall be to promote interest in the game of golf, to provide up-to date instruction in the rules and etiquette of golf, and to foster and promote national amateur sports competitions for women.”
